Background
Unferth's mother, Ifiret, left when he was 14 years old, where he was left with his father, Azzeel. Azzeel was a notorious war genearal, but had been discharged when he lost his arm during a battle. Azzeel, being depressed by his sudden and unprecidented accident, and the leaving of his wife, often looked to his son Unferth for comfort. Unferth, wanting to please his father did everything that was asked of him, including joining in on daily (and nightly) drinking and bar-runs.
When Azzeel tries to get Unferth involved in some incriminating acts however, he see's his father's true colors. Being a war general, obsessed with power and simply malicious. Azzeel regrets the fact that he tried to make his son everything that he hated about himself, and Unferth is the only one who seems to understand, and is determined to stick by his father, despite is malevolent urges.
At the age of 15, Unferth's mother returns and tries to take him back, but he refuses.
He stays with his father, who had secretly fallen in love with a half-elf. Unferth tries to encourage their relationship, but dragonborns were not generally accepted by many cultures at that time. After some of the townspeople found out about his father's love affair, their small house was burnt down and Unferth managed to escape. He hasn't seen his father since.
Years had past and Unferth had set himself to the wilderness, living off whatever he finds. He doesn't much care about the people around him. He doesn't have many friends and is a reclusive being, avoiding trouble whenever possible.
****
But trouble certainly found him, but not without reward. He has currently located his Father and Roxanne, has a new sister and recently mustered up the courage to propose to Kalfyra, the love of his life. With her agreement, a new house and a peaceful none-adventuring exsistance, he can finally settle down and have more then a few kids...
Or will adventure show its face again?

The Sigil "The world is ancient, built upon and beneath the ruins of past empires, legends and artifacts living past them--as well as terrible menaces. Shrouded in a dark age between the collapse of the last great power and the rise of the next, it endures. Minor kingdoms prosper: baronies, holdings, city-states, but the power of kings goes only as far as their riders. Settlements are points of light in the widespread darkness, havens, islands of civilization in the wilderness that covers the world. Magic is everywhere--people believe in and accept the power that magic provides. However, true masters are rare. Many people have access to a little, and it helps those living within the cities to maintain their communities. Surrounding the world, Edion, is the ether or ethereal plane which divides it from the other planes and the great Astral Sea. So welcome. Why not weave a tale or two while you're here?" |
